I remember that, at first, collecting figures was kind of “creepy”, geeky, and a male hobby (a general depiction). Oh you know, that image of a stereotypical overweight male with glasses having ecchi figures all over their desks? Yeah. I was sort of afraid of adopting that image because generally in society, the image of a figure collector or an avid anime viewer is viewed negatively. However, for the past few years I became more comfortable being an anime half-geek (I don’t know that much about the anime/manga world xD ).
I was totally uninterested in figures until I stumbled across a post about a figure of Saber from Fate/Extra. She looked so beautiful… and for the first time, I felt like owning a figure.
Then, I looked for more pictures of that Saber and… my love for figures grew. I was totally obsessed with discovering figures that are beautiful. Yup, I pre-ordered that Saber, along with other figures ^^”
My wallet is crying.
Before I buy figures, I always look at reviews since these are not your generic 10$ figures at Walmart for kids. They may cost you an arm or a liver, so you gotta make sure you do your research before purchasing your figure.
After looking a couple websites and posts about figure reviews, I had the urge of starting my own because some sites I went to lacked pictures or detailed posts. I want my reviews to be detailed as I can and image-heavy so that buyers and figure lovers would know what they’re looking into.
I mean, lots of reviews have fancy pictures and are aspired photographers. I just want to get to the point and write about my figures xD So yeah, try to ignore my horrible backgrounds and lighting for now.
Eventually, I’ll make a lightbox. Ordered a decent light box!
So yup, I hope you’ll enjoy this blog. If you have any questions, feel free to drop me a message.
